Hello everyone! I have a few updates regarding my first novella , ITZÁ. Also, I have updates on the dramas I have watched so far!
Itzá was reviewed in World Literature Today. Special thanks to Marilyse V. Figueroa for the magical review!
“In writing these characters, de la Luz does not simply imagine the lives of a magical family but also writes in the tenor of the spells they might cast. It only seems apropos to begin the novella with an introduction to the woman who started it all, the witchy Abuelita Araceli. When Marisol’s family travels to bury her, she whispers, “Did Abuelita pass her bruja intuition down to me?” This pining for bruja intuition and a connection to her abuelas is important for Marisol, who processes traumatic events through making her own brand of earthly rituals or visiting her family’s graves.”

K-DRAMA NEWS:
I haven’t been as dedicated to my drama bingeing but the last three dramas I watched, I have adored.
1. Go Back Couple: I cannot tell you how many times I cried while watching this drama, but it was a lot. From Wikipedia: “After coming to a breaking point in their relationship, Ban-do and Jin-joo wake up to find themselves as 20-year-old university students. They don’t know why they are there or how long they will stay so they decide to enjoy it and make different choices than they did the first time around. These decisions impact their families and friends.”

2.Go Go Waiki: One of the sweetest and funniest dramas I have ever watched. I laughed so much while watching this drama!!!! From Wikipedia: “The story of three men who come to run a failing guesthouse called Waikiki. Complications spark when their guesthouse is visited by a single mother and her baby.”

3. What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim?: This drama captivated me immediately and I have fallen in love with all of the side characters and I think the two leads are such a beautiful k drama couple. This drama is full of squee moments, I legit screamed at the screen so many times from the cuteness. From Wikipedia: “Revolves around the narcissistic Vice Chairman of a major corporation, Lee Young-joon, and his highly capable secretary, Kim Mi-so. Misunderstandings arise when she announces that she will resign from her position, after working for Lee Young-joon for nine years.”
